The mayor of Rotterdam, Ahmed Aboutaleb, visited Koppert Cress during a working visit on the 9th of September, 2015. Rob Baan opened the meeting with an inspiring story about the role of horticulture in feeding the city and the relationship between good nutrition and health. Then it was Toon Roozen’s turn. He gave a pitch about CressToday, the mini version of the Koppert Cress greenhouse. Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb and mayor Sjaak van der Tak of Westland City were interested in the possibilities of this new concept that gives consumers the opportunity to grow their own food.
