Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 2 Cans of tuna in water or olive oil
  • 4 Tablespoons Yogonaise
  • 4 Teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 Red onion
  • 5 Cherrie tomatoes
  • Lemon juice of ½ lemon
  • Olive oil
  • 400g (grated) cheese matured
  • 1 Cup Zorri cress
  • Bread of your choice
  • Method:

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Cut the red onion and cut the cherry tomatoes in four. Then mix the tuna (add 1 to 2 tablespoons of olive oil if it was not in the tin) with 4 tablespoons Yogonaise and 4 teaspoons Dijon mustard, the red onion, the lemon juice and some salt and pepper in a bowl, until the consistency of a ‘tuna salad’.

Halve the bread and spread this with the tuna mixture. Cover richly with grated (or paste) cheese and cherry tomatoes. Heat the bread in the hot oven for about 6 minutes until the cheese has melted and the outside is crispy. Garnish the sandwich with tasty spicy Zorri cress for the best version of this delicious Tuna melt.
