From October 2016 to March 2017, Grown was part of the Let it Grow incubation program. An instructive period in which Grown made a new start, learned from its customers and prepared for the future. This interesting period ended with a special event: the Greenhouse Festival. Organized in the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam.
People were invited to experience firsthand how plants, flowers and green technologies are used to shape happier and healthier cities. From artists to architects, chefs to tech entrepreneurs, the Greenhouse gathered the many innovators using plants and flowers to improve our lives under one roof to bring you a day of workshops, entertainment, shop-in-shops and green-fingered fun. Visitors returned feeling enriched, inspired and eager to get their hands dirty.
Industry professionals, entrepreneurs and potential investors were invited to join the Business Day, which provided an opportunity for Grown to build meaningful new contacts in the floriculture sector. The afternoon also included presentations by Let it Grow founder Silke Tijkotte and the futurologist Jacintha Scheerder, followed by us: Grown. Founder Toon Roozen gave a business pitch for over 300 professionals an entrepreneurs.
