Wow, what a weekend! On Friday the 8th and Saturday 9th of July 2016 we organized the first edition of the Pop-up restaurant in the Tea Garden in Weesp. Bart van Berkel & Patrick Cuevas were standing in the kitchen as Master chefs and prepared a delicious 4-course dinner for cozy guests. ‘Great service, great food and a unique location’ was the feedback from the public.
The idea arose during the opening of Grown in March 2016. Bart van Berkel, winner of the television program ‘Masterchef’ of 2014, specially came to Weesp for the opening. In The Tea Garden, the master chef prepared one of the dishes from his new cookbook ‘Discover the secret of the chef’ with Grown’s cress as an important ingredient. Both Bart and myself were very enthusiastic about this collaboration and we gladly gave a follow-up. No sooner said than done, a few months later there was the pop-up restaurant ‘Garden on the Table’.
A delicious dinner in a beautiful location with very nice guests makes it worth repeating!
